Frequently Asked Questions
How can I reset my NetBank password online? Your NetBank client number and password are separate to your CommSec ID and password. If you forget your NetBank password or have locked your password and need to unlock it, you can save yourself a phone call by using the 'Forgotten password' function from the NetBank log on page to re-establish your NetBank access. 1. Go to the NetBank homepage at www.netbank.com.au 2. Click on the Forgotten Password link. 3. Enter your NetBank client number (if you do not know your NetBank client number, you should click on the Forgotten client number link on the homepage instead). 4. You will be prompted to enter a NetCode (either from a NetCode SMS or from your token) OR to answer two of your security questions. 5. You will then be prompted to enter your card number and PIN. If you enter your credit card number, you will need to indicate if you are the primary cardholder or an additional cardholder. 6. You may then either choose a new password or unlock your account with your existing password (if you know it). For any further assistance with resetting your NetBank password please contact the Commonwealth Bank on 13 22 21 or +61 13 22 21 if calling from overseas (24 hours a day, 7 days a week).
